Geneva

In Series 1, we are travelling to Geneva to explore the story of Global Leadership Geneva Bern. This is a Christian charity that supports the ambassadors and diplomats of the United Nations through leadership coaching and relational support, inspired by principles from the Christian worldview. We are going to connect their experiences, within a sphere of diplomacy and peacebuilding, to launch our Series question, ‘What is the foundation for human moral values?’

We will also have the privilege of interviewing another special guest, a senior diplomat and a director of a UN agency, fantastically within a UN building. We will be interviewing him while the UN security Council is taking place. With many years of experience, our special guest will express within a personal capacity why the Christian worldview is a unique foundation for ethical values and peacebuilding. The full interviews will be released in our follow up podcasts.

We have a three-day time budget in Geneva, in which we will have three conversations, with Global Leadership Geneva Bern and with a senior director of a UN agency. With our remaining time budget, we aim to take in as much of the Genevan culture as we can in order to capture the setting of the conversation and understand more about the country that our guests live and work in.

Following the story and conversation in Geneva, we will investigate the Series question, ‘What is the foundation for human moral values’. The World and Me team will critically think through the viewpoints expressed in Geneva and will also welcome further guests into the conversation.
